from Louisville, KY
formed
January 1, 2004 (age 20)
Biography
Louisville's Five.Bolt.Main grew out of the hard rock outfit Flaw, which released two albums for Universal in the early 2000s. The label dropped Flaw after 2004's Endangered Species, and lead singer Chris Volz turned to drummer Ivan Arnold and bassist Ben Patrick with the intention of starting a new project. They added guitarists Aaron Welenken and Jason Chandler, and Five.Bolt.Main was born. The band secured a deal with New York-based Rock Ridge Records and issued their debut LP, Venting, in September 2005. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
