Biography
Beatnik Beatch was a four-member pop/rock band from San Francisco. They made one album, which was released in 1987 by the independent label Industrial under the title At the Zulu Beach. In 1988, a revised version of the album, deleting five tracks and adding four others, was released by Atlantic Records under the name Beatnik Beatch. The group broke up, and Andy Sturmer (drums, vocals) and Roger Manning (keyboards) formed the more successful Jellyfish. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
