Whitford St. Holmes
Biography
Whitford St. Holmes is a hard rock band led by Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford and Ted Nugent vocalist Derek St. Holmes. Their music features steady tempos, heavy riffs, and bluesy guitar solos. Whitford and St. Holmes originally teamed up in 1980 after leaving their respective groups. They released their self-titled debut album in 1981 and toured to support it, but met with limited commercial success. Whitford then played with the Joe Perry Project in 1983 and rejoined Aerosmith in 1984 while Ted Nugent invited St. Holmes to sing again, which put Whitford St. Holmes on hiatus for more than 30 years. Although the two musicians stayed friends, they didn't start playing again until they became neighbors in Nashville. They released the second Whitford St. Holmes album, Reunion, in 2016; it hit number 19 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart. ~ Benjamin Schulz, Rovi
