A solo project from Buckcherry's frontman, Josh Todd the Conflict formed in 2016, signing a deal with Century Media early the following year. Also featuring Buckcherry guitarist Steve Dacanay along with bassist Gregg Cash and drummer Sean Winchester, the Conflict's early singles featured a heavier, harder-edged tone than the hard rock Buckcherry had become known for.
