Unrecorded until 1989, Rick Fay has made up for lost time with many fine records for the Arbors label. He had worked for the Disney music department for 24 years (in California and later in Florida), played regularly at Disney World, and in freelance jobs with Wild Bill Davison, Pete Dailey, the Firehouse Five Plus Two, and others. On the many Arbors releases, Rick Fay has had the opportunity to record frequently as both a leader and a sideman with such players as Jackie Coon, Dan Barrett, and Johnny Varro, and he has held his own. ~ Scott Yanow, Rovi
