A member of the Screen Actor's Guild since she was a child, Jill Gioia has branched out from acting to begin performing as a solo musician. Her gritty, soulful rock style has earned her jobs opening at a few Third Eye Blind shows, including their performance on the #Late Show With David Letterman. She has also performed with 98° Degrees, B-52's, Berlin, and the Alarm. Gioia also won the 2000 Steve Madden Rock N Sole Girl Band Search Contest -- as part of the prize, Madden designed a boot named after her, called the "Jill Joy Boot." She was also a finalist in the American Music Awards Coca-Cola New Music Award, which focused on unsigned artists.
