Australia's Sebastian Muecke (aka Basenji) is an in-demand electronic musician, DJ, and producer known for his buoyant, pop-oriented tracks. A native of Sydney, Basenji initially started making music as part of a duo with fellow Sydney producer Tom Purcell (aka Wave Racer). He then branched out on his own, posting tracks to Soundcloud and participating in Triple J radio's Unearthed competition where he grabbed ears with his track "Heirloom." It was through Triple J that he caught the attention of Future Classic, signing to the label in 2014. A year later, he delivered his debut EP, Trackpad, which featured the singles "Petals" and "Just Can't Get Enough." Several high-profile live dates followed ,including a tour of the U.S. for Future Classic. In 2017, he released the single "Mistakes," featuring Tkay Maidza.
