Dominick Argento

Biography
Argento studied at the Peabody Conservatory and at the Eastman School, and served as a professor at the University of Minnesota. He co-founded the Minnesota Opera, and his most important works are operas written for the company. One of his best-known operas, Postcard from Morocco, was written in 1971.
