Mark King
Biography
Mark King is one of two guitarists in the Oklahoma City-based post-grunge rock act Hinder. The son of a Baptist preacher, he grew up in Guymon, Oklahoma, the youngest of three boys, playing football and basketball early on for his school teams. Seeing the music video for Weezer's "Buddy Holly" in junior high inspired King to pick up a guitar and subsequently start his first band. He graduated from college with a degree in music, and soon after in 2004 hooked up with the guys in Hinder. They earned a deal with Universal Records after only a few gigs together and released their debut album, Extreme Behavior, in the fall of 2005. ~ Corey Apar, Rovi
