Biography
Jean Smith is the honey glazed voice behind the indie avant-garde sounds of Mecca Normal, and in the late '90s, she set aside her duties with the band for a solo career. In early 2000, she issued her eponymous solo debut on Kill Rock Stars and toured with Godspeed You Black Emperor! later that fall. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi
