The s / s / s project is an electro/indie/rap collaboration between mercurial singer/songwriter Sufjan Stevens, experimental electronic artist Son Lux, and Chicago-based rapper Serengeti. The trio was instigated by Serengeti, who petitioned a number of artists, including Stevens, to assist him on a handful of tracks for a potential new album. After hearing what Stevens added to the mix, he passed it along to Lux, who fleshed it out even more, resulting in the trio's first single, "Museum Day."
