Biography
Oscar-winning screenwriter and director Pedro Almodóvar caught plenty of acclaim as well as heat for his bold, risk-taking body of work, and he also composed score material and played a significant role in the music that was featured in those films. In 1997, Captiol subsidiary Metro Blue assembled Songs of Almodóvar, a compilation that anthologized significant songs used in films that ranged from 1982's #Labyrinth of Passion to 1993's #Kika. Viva la Tristeza!, issued in 2003 by Milan, was based on songs the director listened to while writing the script for #Hable Con Ella ("Talk to Her"). ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
