Biography
Vocalist Les Taylor grew up in central Kentucky. He caught his big break when, in 1980, fellow Kentuckians Exile -- fresh off their number one hit I Want to Kiss You All Over -- tapped him as their new contributing lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Taylor performed with the group for most of the decade but left in 1989 to pursue a solo career. He had some success with his solo debut, Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda. The album That Old Desire followed and was a minor hit. Taylor followed it up with 1991's Blue Kentucky Wind, which featured a duet with Shelby Lynne, but the album didn't kick up much interest. Taylor eventually reunited with Exile founder J.P. Pennington during the mid to late '90s, and the two tackled the nostalgia circuit with a rehashed backing band. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
