Boondoggle
Biography
A trio hailing from Chattanooga, TN, Boondoggle is remembered chiefly for launching the career of Sean Meadows, who went on to become the guitarist for math rockers June of 44, as well as the bassist for long-running Dischord emo band Lungfish. Boondoggle issued only one EP during their lifetime, the Kustom Kitchen release Groove Inside Yourself. They also appeared on the soundtrack of the cult indie rock film #Half Cocked, performing the song Invertebrate. Through Boondoggle, Meadows met Louisville math rockers Rodan, and when they disbanded in late 1994, Meadows joined with Rodan guitarist Jeff Mueller to form June of 44. Meadows also went on to play bass with Lungfish over 1995-1996, and joined another Rodan offshoot, the gentler Sonora Pine. After June of 44's breakup in 2000, Meadows moved on to two new projects, the Letter E and the solo Everlasting the Way. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
