Peacock first performed as a percussionist with the Madison Symphony Orchestra. He studied composition with the L.A. Philharmonic's William Kraft before accepting a residency position as the pianist at Rosario Resort & Spa on Orcas Island. Performing on the resort's original 1900 Model A Steinway grand piano, Peacock's compositions looked to capture the essence of the Pacific Northwest island experience. He released his debut album, Island Life, in 1989, followed by Oceans in 1990, the latter of which featured guitarist Gene Nery and pianist Richard Palalay. Since then, Peacock has issued a string of wide-ranging efforts such as Traveler (1999), Seaglass (2005), and Simple Gifts (2018) that touch on everything from holiday fare to Broadway and film music. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
