A reunion of former Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, and Love and Rockets bandmates singer/guitarist Daniel Ash and drummer Kevin Haskins, POPTONE also features Haskins' daughter, bassist Diva Dompe. Together, they play a dynamic mix of songs from their previous projects with a special emphasis on Tones on Tail material. The band arrived after an extended absence from Ash, who had essentially retired from live touring following Love and Rockets' farewell dates in 2008. Purportedly, the genesis of POPTONE happened in early 2017 after Ash fell asleep watching music videos online, only to be awakened by Motörhead's "Ace of Spades." Inspired to play live, he reconnected with Haskins, who in turn brought Dompe on board.
