The Hesitations
from Cleveland, OH
formed
January 1, 1965 - January 1, 1968 (age 2)
Biography
Cleveland vocal group the Hesitations specialized in soulful treatments of blatantly pop melodies, epitomized by their biggest RB smash, a stirring 1968 rendering of the theme from the movie #Born Free. Although their initial bow on the RB charts in 1967 was titled Soul Superman, the Hesitations were best known for items like The Impossible Dream and Who Will Answer, hardly typical soul fare. Lead singer George King Scott died from a gunshot wound in February of 1968. ~ Bill Dahl, Rovi
