Finn has been DJing since the early 2010s. He split time between England and San Francisco, and was a resident DJ at Manchester club night Chowdown. His first release was Keep Calling, an EP of grime-influenced R&B edits on the Local Action label. A remix EP and Knock Knock both followed in 2015, by which point his tracks had become favorites of DJs like Kode9, Mr. Mitch, and DJ Q. Finn released two more singles and a mixtape, 2017's Accelerated Club, in addition to beginning a monthly show on NTS Radio and a podcast series titled Finn B2B.
In late 2017, Local Action released Sometimes the Going Gets a Little Tough, a six-song EP of slightly bittersweet yet unceasingly positive and uplifting club tracks. The EP's addictive title cut racked up millions of streams and attracted attention from well-known DJs such as Diplo and Annie Mac. The following year, Defected licensed the track as a single, furthering its popularity. Finn remained with Local Action for his next two EPs, 2018's Dance Music Has Betrayed Us All and 2019's Do What You Want Forever, additionally collaborating with India Jordan for the single "H.U.R.L"/"F.U.R.L." He also collaborated with DJ Q on the Swing Ting-issued "Baby I Don't Know."
Finn's The Trick Trick EP appeared on Rüf Kutz in 2020. Local Action issued two limited vinyl-only EPs, R.T.S./T.M.H.M and Bitter/Sweet, as well as a collaboration with Equiknoxx's Shanique Marie, "Lifey"/"Movers." The solo EP A Good Place and India Jordan collaboration "All About Love"/"Big B" were both issued in 2021. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
