K-Trap
Biography
Delivering languid electro beats, hazy resonant bass lines, and defiant and hedonistic lyrics, K-Trap is a London-based trap and drill artist. Widely known for his decision to conceal his identity with a balaclava, he began to make waves on the U.K. urban scene in 2017 with his raw and defiant style of rapping, most notably evident on the independently released track "Paper Plans," accompanied by a sleek and stylish, independently shot music video depicting life on the streets in East London. This generated a sudden wave of attention for the young artist, alongside an established and devoted fan base that began to demand a full-length release. K-Trap released his debut mixtape, The Last Whip, in June 2017. The release featured collaborations and guest appearances from fellow urban artists Blade Brown, Dimzy, Mischief, and Youngs Teflon. Mischief in particular became a frequent collaborator with K-Trap, and the duo released "9 Anthem" the same year. ~ Rob Wacey, Rovi
