Lakeman Brothers Band
from County Devon, England
formed

Biography
The Lakeman Brothers -- violinist Seth, guitarist Sean, and vocalist Sam -- were still in high school when they recorded an album, 3 Piece Suite. They were already veterans of the British folk music circuit, having played with a family band since earliest memory. Inheriting their love of music from their mother, who played violin and sang, and their father, who played concertina, the brothers had ventured off on their own after becoming frustrated by their parents' choice of songs.
The sibling band was short-lived. A few months after the recording session, Sean and Seth Lakeman joined with a folk duo, Kathryn Roberts and Kate Rusby, a bassist (Darren Edwards), and a drummer (Ian Goodall) to form a folk-pop quintet Equation. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
