Biography
Trumpeter/composer Peter Evans is a N.Y.C.-based avant-garde jazz musician. A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Evans moved to New York in 2003 after completing his studies. Besides running his own quartet with guitarist Brandon Seabrook, bassist Tom Blancarte, and drummer Kevin Shea, he is also a member of a wide variety of groups, including such free-leaning bands as Mostly Other People Do the Killing, Sparks, and Carnival Skin. Evans released his debut solo album, More Is More, on PSI in 2006. His eponymous effort The Peter Evans Quartet followed on Firehouse 12 in 2007. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
