Tres Mts., a groove-oriented, soulful hard rock collaboration between Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament, singer and guitarist Doug Pinnick (King's X), and drummer Richard Stuverud (the Fastbacks), began as a loosely organized side project for the trio back in the early 1990s. Over the years, the longtime friends would meet up and toss ideas around whenever their schedules would permit. Those notions eventually culminated in recording sessions, and by the end of 2010, they decided to make it official.
