Biography
Hardcore icons Count Me Out blend vicious straight-edge punk with savage punk-influenced metal. Starting in Richmond, VA, in the fall of 1997 (briefly going by the name What the F*ck, changing it before playing their first show later that year), they released the acidic Few and Far Between EP in 1999, produced by Brian McTernan. A year later, the full-length 110 came out on Indecision Records and was backed up by a lengthy tour. The moody and brutally honest Permanent followed two years later. After finishing a tour of Europe, Count Me Out -- vocalist Jason Mazzola, guitarists Garth Petrie and Pete Appleby, bassist Charlie Flexon, and drummer Colin Kimble -- suddenly played an unannounced final show back in Richmond in February 2003. Members went on to play in bands like Renee Heartfelt and Strike Anywhere. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi
