The Stunners

Biography
Formed in 2007 after a recording session with producer Colleen Fitzpatrick (aka Vitamin C), the Stunners have been on the fast track to success, with a record deal from Columbia and a TV show in development through Lionsgate within six months of forming. Drawing from pop influences like Madonna, Gwen Stefani, and Rihanna, this girl group tweaks the girl group mold by not only singing and dancing live, but also playing some instruments (taking over duties on the guitar, as well as the violin). The Stunners, made up of Tinashe Kachingwe, Allie Gonino, Hayley Kiyoko, Marisol Esparza, and Lauren Hudson (and formerly Kelsey Sanders, who left the group in 2009 to pursue her acting career), also keep busy with acting, with group members appearing on shows like Two and a Half Men (Kachingwe), Ten Things I Hate About You (Gonino), Everyone Hates Chris (Esparza), and the movie Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins (Kiyoko). Somehow finding the time to record amidst the bandmembers' busy schedules, the Stunners released their self-titled EP in October of 2009. Not wanting to wait around, the Stunners announced they had begun production on their full-length debut shortly afterwards, reportedly working with pop songwriters Jimmy Harry and Sheppard Solomon, as well as No Doubt’s Tony Kanal. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi
