from United States
Biography
Singer/songwriter Mary Lorson is known for her role in the indie rock outfit Madder Rose, the New York band she fronted beginning in 1990. Madder Rose released four albums during the '90s, with their 1993 debut, Bring It Down, receiving favorable praise in the college press. In 1999, the group split and Lorson put together a new group, Saint Low. They issued one album under that name, 2000's Saint Low, before changing the name of the group to Mary Lorson Saint Low and releasing Tricks for Dawn in 2002. Lorson and Madder Rose bandmate BIlly Coté also began working on film music around this time and in 2003 released Piano Creeps, an album derived from their work in the cinematic realm. In 2006, the duo (and a cast of many) released Realistic under the Mary Lorson Saint Low moniker. ~ MacKenzie Wilson & Tim Sendra, Rovi
