Tyran Carlo
Biography
Tyran Carlo -- the writing name of Roquel "Billy" Davis -- was half of a Detroit songwriting team with Berry Gordy, before Gordy founded Motown Records. When Carlo's cousin, the incredible singer Jackie Wilson, left the Dominoes and went solo, Carlo & Gordy penned Wilson's first several hits, including Reet Petite, To Be Loved, Lonely Teardrops, and I'll Be Satisfied, all singles in the late '50s. ~ Joslyn Layne, Rovi
