An acronym for That Which Is Not Said, TWINS is the dark alternative dance project of producer/songwriter Matt Weiner. Taking cues from moody post-punk, industrial dance, and Kraftwerk, he self-records synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers in his home studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Most but not all of his work also features his voice. A split cassette with Luke Perry (Ryan Howe) called Guts appeared in 2010 on the Peace Age No Cat label, followed later in the year by TWINS' full-length debut, The Other Side Of. A year later, he released The Insider Sings Emotionals EP (Double Phantom Digital), and 2012 brought the TWINS EP Graphic Edition as well as a split EP with Os Ovni. The cassette mini-album Music from the Insider, the EP Cold Gemini, and the 12" single "Love Is a Luxury" all followed in 2014. A year later, CLEAR USA released the full-length Nothing Left and TWINS issued three more EPs: Solid State Skin, Never Know Yourself, and Standard of Truth. Music from the Insider II arrived via Clan Destine Records in 2016, the same year Enfant Terrible issued the mini-album Rather Not. Featuring more of his brooding, self-made synth pop, the quasi-eponymous That Which Is Not Said LP received a cassette, CD, vinyl, and digital release by 2MR in 2018. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
