Caustic Danish punk band Lower were formed in 2009 by drummer Anton Rothstein and vocalist Adrian Toubro, who enlisted guitarist Simon Formann and bassist Kristian Emdal, completing their shrill and angry sound spawned from '80s hardcore, no wave, and early American underground indie. Following a demo tape and several 7"s and EPs (including a 2013 split 7" with their equally aggressive post-hardcore contemporaries Iceage), Lower signed with Matador for the release of their 2014 debut full-length, Seek Warmer Climes. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
