Ruth Buzzi made her Broadway debut in +Misguided Tour, a musical revue, in 1959. She performed in a variety of television shows, including the #That Girl series, in the decade to follow and also contributed her unique character voice to popular cartoons such as #The Jetsons and #Linus the Lionhearted. After #Laugh-In, Ruth Buzzi starred in many children's television shows -- #The Krofft Supershow (1976), #You Can't Do That on Television -- as well as full-length features for children: #Freaky Friday (1977) and #The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again (1979).
In the last two decades of the century, Ruth Buzzi continued doing voice work for cartoons such as #The Smurfs, #The Bearenstein Bears, and #Elmo, and taking small parts in movies. But is Buzzi still best remembered for her humorous comedy work on television just in it's heyday? As they say on the show, you can "bet your bippy" on that one. ~ Sandy Lawson, Rovi
