Biography
Vocalist Marie-Lynn Hammond, banjoist Bob Bossin and fiddle player Terry King formed Stringband in 1971 in Ontario. The trio released their independent first album, Canadian Sunset, in 1974. National Melodies appeared the following year, but after 1977's Thanks to the Following, Stringband broke up. Two posthumous albums have been released: The Maple Leaf Dog (1979) and Stringband -- Live! (1980). Also, Hammond released a self-titled album in 1979. ~ John Bush, Rovi
