Biography
North Carolina's Jonathan David Melissa Helser are a husband-and-wife duo known for their emotive, faith-based songs. Based in Sophia, North Carolina, the Helsers live and work at the A Place for the Heart ministries, which was founded by Jonathan's parents in 1986. Married since 1999, the Helsers lead their own ministries at A Place for the Heart, including the youth worship school 18 Inch Journey and the creative artists collective Cageless Birds. As singer/songwriters, the couple debuted in 2007 with two recordings, The Reward and Walk Through Walls. Several more albums followed, including 2011's Long Story Short and 2012's On the Shores. Since 2014, the Helsers have been members of the Bethel Music community. Jonathan David Melissa Helser's ninth album, Beautiful Surrender, debuted at number one on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart.
