Biography
Go Youn-ha, who operates under the mononym Younha, is an award-winning South Korean pop and rock singer/songwriter, pianist, actress, presenter, and producer. She began her career in Japan, where she became known as the "Oricon Comet" after storming the charts with singles like "Houkiboshi" and "Touch/Yume no Tsuzuki." After conquering the J-Pop scene, she headed home and released her first South Korean LP, The Perfect Day to Say I Love You, which was a huge hit. Younha enjoyed success in both markets as the years progressed, though her popularity began to wane in the mid-2010s. She returned to the spotlight in 2019 with the EP Stable Mindset, which included the massive international hit "Winter Flower" with RM from BTS. The momentum helped to propel her sixth Korean full-length effort, 2021's End Theory, to number 15 on the Gaon charts. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
