Los Angeles-based electronic duo Mako make passionate, melodic, high-energy dance-oriented music. Formed in 2011, Mako feature the talents of Juilliard-trained composer Alex Seaver and DJ Logan Light. Before joining forces, Light had opened for artists including Tiësto and Avicii, while Seaver had embarked upon a promising career scoring for film and television. Seaver was working on a project with Light's father, who introduced the two, and the duo found common musical ground and began writing original material. Since 2012, Mako have released a steady stream of singles and remixes, including "Beam" (featuring Angel Taylor), "Music Is Better," "Way Back Home," and "Our Story." In 2016, Mako released their debut full-length album, Hourglass, featuring the singles "Into the Sunset" and "Wish You Back" with vocalist Kwesi. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
