Biography
He'd been involved in the gospel music industry practically since birth, so Greg Long couldn't have been too surprised to be offered a contract with Myrrh Records. Born in South Dakota, Long was on the road with his family's musical ministry act throughout his childhood and made his first recording while other kids his age were attending kindergarten. He signed an adult recording contract with Myrrh in 1993, and released his debut album Cross My Heart one year later. Highlighted by the single "Faith Can Light a Candle," the album did well in gospel circles. Long backed up his history as a performer first by giving hundreds of concerts each year, supporting Point of Grace, 4Him and Ray Boltz; he also appeared on television shows like The 700 Club and Hour of Power. Second album Days of Grace was released in 1996, followed by 1997's Jesus Saves. Now was issued in early 2001. ~ John Bush, Rovi
