Born in Seoul in 1995, Nayeon became a JYP Entertainment trainee in 2010, first joining the lineup for a short-lived group before participating in the Sixteen reality competition show to become part of Twice. The nine-piece girl group debuted in 2015, swiftly rising on the Korean and U.S. charts with hit albums Twicetagram, Eyes Wide Open, and Formula of Love, while also breaking into the Japanese market with a handful of chart-topping albums and compilations. In 2022, she made her formal debut as a solo artist with the self-titled EP IM NAYEON (JYP/Republic Records). The short set featured the tracks "No Problem" with Felix of Stray Kids and "Love Countdown" with Wonstein. Upon release, the effort topped the South Korean album chart and the U.S. World Albums chart. ~ Neil Z. Yeung, Rovi
