Biography
Canadian keyboardist and songwriter Richard Bell began his professional musical career in the '60s. He is an accomplished musician, playing with skill whether using the piano, organ, saxophone, accordion, or other instruments. He has also lent his voice for background vocals, offered material as a composer, and worked on a number of albums as producer, even showing off his talents on several film soundtracks.

Around 1970, Bell began working with the legendary Janis Joplin, appearing as her pianist on the legendary Pearl album. Over his long musical career Richard Bell has also worked with other big name artists, including Judy Collins, Cowboy Junkies, Bob Dylan, Joe Walsh, Bruce Cockburn, Bonnie Raitt, New Edition, Peter Emmett, and many others. ~ Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
