Anders and Poncia are Peter Andreoli and Vinnie Poncia, who have worked primarily as a songwriting team since the early '60s. They have also recorded at various times, with the Videls (Mr. Lonely, number 73, 1960), and as the Trade Winds (New York's a Lonely Town, number 32, 1965; Mind Excursion, number 51, 1966) and the Innocence (There's Got to Be a Word! number 34, 1967; Mairzy Doats, number 75, 1967).
