Biography
Summer's Children were the duo of Curt Boettcher and Victoria Winston, who recorded one single, Milk and Honey/Too Young to Marry, for Date Records in late 1965. Boettcher would soon help pioneer California sunshine pop with the Ballroom and the Millennium, and the single contains much of the ultra-sunny folky melodies and harmonies characteristic of his later work. Even in comparison with those later projects, though, the Summer's Children is innocuously goody-goody in the extreme. Both sides of the single were issued on the three-CD set Magic Time: The Millennium/Ballroom Recordings, which is largely devoted to work by the Millennium and the Ballroom, but also includes some tracks by other recording projects in which Boettcher was involved from 1965-1968. ~ Richie Unterberger, Rovi
