Roland Grapow was born in 1959. He first began his recording career working with metal band Rampage. The first album he recorded with that group was 1980's Victim of Rock. They also released a second CD before Grapow left the group. That one was released in 1982 and entitled Love Lights Up the Night. In 1988, he joined Helloween and has been with the band ever since.
