Dylan Gardner
from Aurora, IL
Biography
A talented multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter whose rich musical upbringing instilled in him a passion for pure pop craftsmanship, Dylan Gardner was born and raised in Aurora, Illinois. The son of a bass player and record store owner, Gardner was drawn to '60s and '70s artists like the Beatles, Harry Nilsson, Zombies, Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan at a very young age. Crediting Jimmy Page for his love of the six-string and Ben Folds as the impetus for his eagerness to master the piano, Gardner, a self-described "music nerd," began writing and recording in his early teens. After relocating with his family to Arizona, he set up a recording studio in his bedroom, and in 2012 he released his debut EP, Morning Stories. In 2014, at the age of 17, he inked a deal with Warner Bros. and released his acclaimed debut album, Adventures in Real Time. Gardner followed up on the success of his debut with the single "Sign Language" in 2016, and again in 2017 with "Hit Me with the Lights Out" and "Can't Stop Thinking." ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
