Ahmed is considered to be the best ganoon player on Zanzibar. He has played with several orchestras in Dar-Es-Salaam and has had two stints with Ikhwani Safaa, the last of which ended in 1985. He now plays freelance for many orchestras in the area. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
