Biography
Early in his career, Texas dancer, choreographer, and singer Brian Puspos established himself as part of the hip-hop dance group SoReal Cru, which finished in second place on America's Best Dance Crew's second season in 2008. The Houston-born Filipino-American started dancing at a young age, surrounded by a family that also leaned toward entertainment. Later, he would develop his vocal abilities, focusing on smooth R&B delivery. On his online streaming channel, he performed acoustic R&B and rap covers set to his own choreography. Influenced by late '90s and early-2000s R&B like Dru Hill, Puspos uploaded his versions of hits by Bryson Tiller, Drake, Bruno Mars, and Anderson. Paak. Paak would later join Puspos in the studio, co-writing the track "Be Ready," which appeared on Puspos' debut EP, S.L.A.B. ("Slow Love and Bangin'"). The six-track effort arrived in early 2017, preceded by the slinky bedroom R&B single "Murder She Wrote." S.L.A.B. debuted at number 24 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart. ~ Neil Z. Yeung, Rovi
