Thi'sl
Biography
One of the grittiest and hardest-hitting Christian rappers, Thi'sl was born in Greenwood, Mississippi but moved as a toddler to St. Louis, Missouri. A rough upbringing in a hostile environment prevented him from experiencing a traditional childhood. He eventually took a sharp turn away from the street and developed a career as a rapper devoted to relating his story and promoting positivity. After This House I Shall Live (2007), as well as two releases through the X-Hustler label -- Chronicles of an X-Hustler (2009) and Beautiful Monster (2011) -- Thi'sl appeared on Lecrae's Top Five Grammy-winning Gravity album. He then signed with Full Ride, where he released Free from the Trap (2013) and Fallen King (2014). The latter album involved guest appearances from the likes of Flame, Json, Laquan Green, and Nonna, among others, and debuted at number 115 on the Billboard 200. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
