Khalil Fong is a multilingual soul-pop singer, songwriter, and producer from Hong Kong who became a sensation upon his emergence in 2005. Born in Hawaii on July 14, 1983, his family moved to Shanghai and eventually Hong Kong. He speaks English as well as Mandarin, Shanghainese, and Cantonese. Associated with Warner Music Hong Kong initially as a producer, he made his solo recording debut on the label in 2005 with Soul Boy. One of the few Chinese artists to embrace soul music, he became a sensation upon his emergence, and his popularity continued to grow after the release of his second album, This Love (2006), which spawned the smash hit Love Love Love.
