As Pentax, Cologne producer Reinhard Voigt produces an experimental style of techno based primarily around the structure of rhythms, as his songs all seem to push the boundaries between danceable and jarring beat constructions. Due to this interest in the fine line between groove and dissonance, the Pentax records aren't always meant for the dancefloor, or even a pleasurable listen at times.
