Biography
The Saturn V featuring Orbit play music that's a throwback to '60s frat rock. The group features the ripping guitar work of Johnny Bartlett (formerly of the Phantom Surfers), vocalist Orbit, on keys CVS (better-known as power pop's Chris von Sneidern), bassist Rob Douglas, and drummer Ron Silva (of the Crawdaddys). The group has released a few singles, including 1997's Give Her Lovin' on Dionysus, and 1999's EP Behind Closed Doors at a Recording Session, released in the U.K. on Big Ben. In addition to concerts in the Bay Area, Saturn V performed at the 1999 Las Vegas Grind, a festival of current bands who play garage, surf, and the like. ~ Joslyn Layne, Rovi
