Biography
Composer, producer, and performer Javier Limón hails from Madrid and has worked with some of the biggest stars in flamenco music. He appeared alongside Niño Josele on the 2002 compilation Flamenco: A Windham Hill Guitar Collection, but he is most often associated with the passionate singer Diego Dieguito el Cigala. His production work on the album Dieguito recorded with Cuban jazz pianist Bebo Valdés, Lágrimas Negras, earned Limon the Producer of the Year award at the 2004 Latin Grammys. In 2006 he released the album Limón on his own label, Casa Limón. The album featured Limon working with Paco de Lucía, Andrés Calamaro, Valdés, Luz Casal, and many others, and went on to be nominated for Best Flamenco Album at the 2006 Latin Grammys. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
