Biography
The first female singer in what became the Serendipity Singers, Lynne Weintraub was a music and drama student at Mills College and the University of Colorado, where she made a name for herself on campus with her performance in student productions of various musicals. She played stock in Dallas, her hometown, and seemed destined for a career in drama when she joined the Serendipity Singers, where her big-voiced, almost operatic contribution -- a striking silver-voiced alto -- quickly earned her a serious following as a singer. She left the group in 1965. ~ Bruce Eder, Rovi
