Frankfurt am Main-based German rap duo Celo Abdi formed in 2008 around the talents of Erol Huseincehajic (of Bosnian heritage) and Abderrahim el Ommali (of Moroccan heritage), both aspiring rappers who met and became friends while working together in a call center. In 2011 the pair released a mixtape, Mietwagentape, which found success and eventually led to a record deal with Azzlackz. Their debut album, Hinterhofjargon, arrived the following year and featured guest appearances from fellow regional rappers Haftbefehl, Veysel, and Xatar, among others. The duo's second Azzlackz-issued studio album, Akupunktur, followed in 2014. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
