Estonia's Syn Cole is a gifted EDM DJ/producer with a bent toward progressive, electro-influenced sounds. Born Rene Pais in Pärnu, Estonia in 1988, Cole studied classical piano while growing up and first became interested in dance music after discovering the synthesizer in his teens. He began producing his own music around 2004 and eventually caught the ear of Swedish DJ Avicii, who signed him to his Le7els Records label in 2012. That same year, Cole broadened his public profile even more with a headlining slot at the U.K.'s Creamfields dance music festival. His remix of Avicii's "Silhouettes" also hit number 20 on a digital Top 100 dance remix chart in 2012. Several more popular dance singles followed, including "Miami 82" in 2013 and "Bright Lights" in 2014. The following year, Cole released the single "It's You" on the ICONS label. In 2016, he returned with the singles "The Daze," featuring Madame Buttons, and "Follow Me," featuring Joshua Radin. The single "Who You Are," featuring MIO, appeared in 2018. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
